La scorsa notte si sono tenuti i The Game Awards 2016, dove sono stati premiati alcuni dei titoli Nintendo, come Pokémon GO e The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Pokémon GO infatti è riuscito ad ottenere il premio di migliore titolo mobile (Mobile/Handheld Game), davanti a titoli come Severed, Monster Hunter Generations e Fire Emblem Fates, aggiundicandosi anche il premio come miglior Family Game, davanti a Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens e Skylanders Imaginators.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild è stato eletto come il titolo più atteso, mentre nelle altre categorie che hanno coinvolto in qualche modo la grande N, troviamo il miglior titolo indipendente, Stardew Valley, recentemente confermato per Nintendo Switch.
Parlando invece delle sconfitte di Nintendo, Civilization VI è riuscito a spuntarla nei confronti di Fire Emblem Fates come Best Strategy Game, The Witcher III: Blood and Wine ha invece superato Xenoblade Chronicles X come miglior titolo RPG. Per quanto riguarda il miglior titolo picchiaduro, Street Fighter V è riuscito ad avere la meglio su Pokkén Tournament.
