Il capolavoro targato Nintendo si porta a casa un ulteriore riconoscimento, vincendo moltissimi premi nonché il GOTY alla prestigiosa premiazione D.I.C.E.
La premiazione dei titoli più importanti del 2017 ha visto trionfare su tutti l’ultima fatica targata Nintendo, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, che è riuscito a portarsi a casa una gran quantità di titoli in molte sezioni differenti nonché il più importante titolo come Game of the Year. In generale, la premiazione ha sottolineato il grande ritorno in scena di Nintendo, che vede premiati tanti altri titoli facenti parte della propria line-up tra console portatili e dispositivi mobile.
Non è mancato il premio Lifetime Achievement Award, vinto da Genyo Takeda, una delle figure di maggior spicco all’interno della società nipponica nonché il creatore di alcune delle console più famose della grande N come il GameCube ed il Nintendo Wii.

- Racing Game of the Year: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Fighting Game of the Year: Injustice 2
- Family Game of the Year: Snipperclips
- Action Game of the Year: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
- Outstanding Technical Achievement: Horizon Zero Dawn
- Outstanding Achievement in Story: Horizon Zero Dawn
- Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design: Super Mario Odyssey
- Outstanding Achievement in Character: Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice – Senua
- Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition: Cuphead
- Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction: Cuphead
- Outstanding Achievement in Animation: Cuphead
Una grande vittoria per Nintendo, che vede premiate non solo le ultime avventure di Link nella sterminata Hyrule, ma anche altri titolo come Snipperclips, Metroid: Samus Return, Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Mario Odyssey e Fire Emblem Heroes per dispositivi mobile.
Ottimi anche i concorrenti più agguerriti, come Horizon Zero Dawn (esclusiva PlayStation 4) che si porta a casa due premi e Cuphead (esclusiva piattaforme Microsoft) che torna a casa con ben tre premi.
