Anche per il software, non svi sono particolari stravolgimenti nella classifica: Yokai Watch 2 rimane saldo in prima posizione, e sebbene non abbia fatto le vendite stratosferiche della settima precedente, piazzando ben altre 300k copie si avvicina a velocità impressionante al traguardo dei 2 milioni. Per il resto i numeri estivi rimangono bassi: a parte i due nuovi giochi per Vita e PS3 il resto della classifica gravita ancora sulle 20k copie a testa.
L’unico esponente Wii U della classifia, Mario Kart 8, continua a resistere e perde solo una posizione, evento principalmente dovuto ai nuovi lanci della settimana. Come al solito la classifica è in maggior parte costituita da giochi 3DS con alcuni residenti abituali come Pokémon X/Y e Monster Hunter 4 presenti da autunno e il persistente Mario Kart 7
